Thomas Gachignard: “I wasn't expecting it at all”

"I wasn't expecting to keep the jersey today at all. It's a really good day for the team, because we also had two riders at the front and Jordan Jegat finished 5th in the stage. During the final climb, I started thinking about the jersey and I told myself that, if there was a misunderstanding, I could get away with it and maybe even stay one point ahead. I'll be able to show it off tomorrow, what's more the weather is nice, and I'll try to break away to score some points. I'll do everything I can to defend it, there's no choice."
