Mads Pedersen: “I ended up burying myself”

“I came back from behind and I heard on the radio Skjelmose crashed. I saw him on the floor. I couldn’t do much there. I asked him how he was, and he was in a lot of pain. It’s really not nice. He did such a good race until now and we wanted a good week-end for him. It’s a pity to lose him on a crash like this. Now, I just hope it’s nothing too serious and he’ll be back fast. The weather played in my favour. In the end, I wanted to get as many points as possible and I ended up burying myself at one point. It was really good training actually. Tomorrow, Jorgenson will be in the mix so it’s gonna be really hard but I’ll do my absolute best to keep the green jersey.”
