Van Dijke: “I tried to take my chance”

March 10 th 2025 - 17:19

Mick van Dijke (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe): “Today, I wanted to pull the sprint for Danny van Poppel but unfortunately he didn’t feel well and had to abandon. Then I tried to take my chance and also tried to go for the time bonuses. It’s really nice to have a reward with the white jersey but I couldn’t do a good result in the final sprint, it was pretty hard for me after already chasing the bonuses. I went for it so that we start later tomorrow. We’ll go as fast as possible. We are six now, that’s not ideal, but nevertheless we’re gonna do everything we can to bring the best results for our GC leaders Aleks [Vlasov] and Lipo [Florian Lipowitz].”
