“Like yesterday, I was supposed to break away and it worked. Since there were three of us, it was hard to hope for anything other than what happened. It was even more complicated with the headwind. I still managed to do what I had to do for the polka-dot jersey. We tried to play with the bunch by slowing down a little at the end, but it didn't work. So I didn't push it too much, I thought I should save my energy for the rest of the week. But it's certainly a pleasure to lead the way in Paris-Nice wearing the polka dot jersey.”
