Laurence Pithie: “The green jersey is a good goal to have”

“We knew it would be a tough day with strong teams and TT specialists like UAE. I knew it would be hard to stay in yellow. But to stay in green is great. It turned out to be a disadvantage to be one of the last teams to go. The rain was falling pretty hard and it was pretty slippery coming into town so we had to be very careful in the last corners. It’s going to be a good goal to go for the intermediate sprints knowing that there will also be quite a few GC guys going for the bonus seconds. But I will try to hold to the jersey as long as possible.”
